WhatCar Reviews

VALUING Your Car With:

WhatCar? Self proclaimed "Britains biggest and best car buyers guide". Very interesting website, loads of content, reviews, advice etc. We was surprisingly impressed with the valuations given by whatcar? consistantly they seemed to almost exactly match selling prices of the cars. When a valuation is completed they also give infomation on the car, which makes for an interesting read.

  • Doesn't have a regestration box, so data must be filled in manually.
  • The mileage is taken into account, but condition is not, so as long as your car is in average condition you should be looking at an accurate price.
  • No personal details are asked for, just enter the car details and receive an instant valuation.
  • Gives 5 different valuations (Dealer, Private, Part Ex, Trade and cost new) quite usefull.
  • The whole website is filled with usefull infomation, if your interested in cars, then you could be on here for hours.

 Our Expeience

 Mercedes-Benz C200 SE CDI 2.1l

The car was sold as a classified ad on ebay for £11,250.00, the valuation gave by "whatcar" was £11580, impressively close! The whole experience was generally faultless, although the addition of a regestration box would be an improvement.

Kia Carens LX 16V CRDI 2.0l

This car sold as a classified ad on ebay for £4995.00, the £4270 valuation given by whatcar was again impressively close. Not only do you receive an accurate valuation, you also receive spec / model history on your car, which can make an interesting read.

Carbay's Overall Verdict:

Very impressed with this website. The valuations were extremely close to the cars actual selling prices which is unusual to see. We would definately recommend this website to anybody looking for a valuation. Quick and easy to use, filled with interesting infomation and reviews. Mileage is also taken into account which is nice to see.
