Hi John, this is definitely not a scam.
The system does from time to time, throw out rogue or nega results. Sorry it didnt work for you but in a round about way it means we can rectify the problem with the system.
You can call us and we'll call you back so you can get an accurate valuation.

Hi Liz, sometimes the value you get may not always be exactly what you're thinking it is just a guide. But if we can also see your car we can give an accurate valuation, obviously your not selling so this wasn't an option but if you do decide to sell you car come and see us at Carbay and we can help.

Hi Chris, as your car is a good few years old, it isn't in the system. We do value older and classic cars but we need to see them up close to give an accurate valuation, you are welcome to come and see us and we will do this. These type of vehicles carry their own value that can't be simply ascertained in just a few online questions.

Sometimes it can't always be a completely spot on valuation over the internet, just an estimate based on info you enter. We can give an even more accurate valuation if you bring your car to us.
Obviously this wasn't necessary in your case and i'm glad you were able to get a good figure for your car.

Kerry in Brighton and Hove05/11/2009 16:47I thought the price i was given was a very good price and really showed what my car was worth as it had quit high millage for its age I didn't think it would be worth as much very helpful and Debbie was very nice to speak to on the phone very friendly. the only down side was they couldn't buy my car for what it was worth due to my location but am hoping for a private sale anyway. but thank you very much for your help.

I was told could probz get £4800-£5000.00 but this said £3855. Astra club 16v 1.6 5door 2004 plate - 27,000miles. Ex con. Pure Gaurd on body and interior so its excellnt condition. Thanks Jen

I am looking to trade down and have some cash in my hand so am not too hopeful that the part-ex value will be any good to me. Think I'll be better trying to sell privately. Nevertheless, a quick and easy service to use, thanks anyway.

laura in Norwich23/07/2009 10:07sorry, but think it is really poor that you dont do valuations for cars older than 1980! i have a 1974 vw beetle!
For a classic like yours Laura it is difficult to equate that into a general valuation system, for a more accurate quote call us and we'll can call you straight back and give you a more detailed valuation.
